Returns & Refunds Policy

At North Gate Tackle, we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not happy with your order, we offer a 30-day returns policy in accordance with UK consumer law.


1. 30-Day Return Period

You may return most items within 30 days of receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

  • Unused

  • In its original packaging

  • In the same condition that you received it

Certain items such as consumables (e.g., bait) or personalised goods may not be eligible unless faulty.


2. Return Shipping Costs

Buyer pays return shipping

If you wish to return an item for reasons such as:

  • Changed mind

  • Ordered the wrong item

  • No longer needed

  • Not what you expected

Then you are responsible for the return postage costs.

We pay return shipping when we are at fault

If the item arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Faulty

  • Incorrect

  • Not as described

Then North Gate Tackle will cover the return shipping cost, or we may offer a prepaid returns label.


3. How to Start a Return

To begin the return process, please contact us at:

Include:

  • Your order number

  • The item you wish to return

  • Reason for return

  • A photo (if reporting a fault or damage)

We will provide return instructions.


4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email.

Approved refunds will be issued within 3–5 working days to your original payment method.

Refunds may be reduced if:

  • Items are returned in poor condition

  • Missing parts or packaging

  • Signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect the item

This does not affect your statutory rights.


5. Exchanges

If you would like an exchange instead of a refund, please mention this when contacting us. Exchanges are subject to product availability.


6. Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Perishable items such as bait or food products

  • Gift cards

  • Custom or personalised items

  • Items that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons (if opened)


7. Statutory Rights

This policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations.

If an item is faulty within the first 30 days, you are entitled to a refund or replacement.
